
According to AQ7012-2018 "Safety Technical Regulations for Gas Drainers," vertical drainers, as an important type of water-sealed drainer, are suitable for draining high-elevation gas pipelines in metallurgical enterprises. Their structure (single-stage/multi-stage cylinder dimensions, inlet pipe spacing, etc.), performance (prevention of gas leakage, gas locking, etc.), and operation and maintenance are strictly regulated, making them key equipment for ensuring the safe operation of gas pipelines. However, in practice, personnel often have insufficient understanding of their structural principles (e.g., effective height calculation of multi-stage water seals), start-up and shutdown procedures (e.g., water filling and venting processes), and abnormal handling (e.g., emergency leakage response). Additionally, physical equipment training faces challenges such as significant space constraints, high operational risks (e.g., gas leakage hazards), and the inability to visually demonstrate internal water flow and pressure relationships. To address these pain points, help personnel quickly master the core knowledge of vertical drainers as required by the regulations, and improve training efficiency and safety awareness, a vertical drainer simulation model has been developed. This model is used to visually display its structure, working principles, and operational procedures, assisting in personnel training and knowledge dissemination.
